For information about driving abroad as well as useful information on recommended routes, clients have found the following sites useful; www.rac.co.uk, www.theAA.com. If you are going to arrive late please contact your chalet or hotel to advise them.
Keep a look out for snow clearing, “Deneigement” signs and move your car if they are clearing the area. Covered car parking is available in 2 car parks – La Croisette & Bellecote and is 70€ for 7 days.
On arrival in Courchevel 1850 follow the main road up to the Croisette/Tourist office and turn right. Continue for approximately 100m and then turn left at the mini roundabout (Bar Le Jump will be on your right). Continue up the hill around the first hairpin bend, Chalet apartment Chamois is on the left hand side of this road in the Le Chamois apartment block. You are not able to park outside the chalet.
What our customers say..
"Sam and Tom were both superb – welcoming, friendly, well informed and fun. The chalet was wonderful and the Supertravel team even better."
Mr I Gausden, February 2010
If prizes were being given out for the most photogenic interior, then Chamois would be head of the list. It is one of our smaller chalets but possibly the most gorgeous.
As chocolate box chic as they come, Chalet Chamois sleeps up to five guests. But it is big in personality and character, wood-panelled throughout, with delightful carved features, and beautifully decorated.
Its position is perfect, set just above the centre of Courchevel 1850. It is very close to the Loze Rouge piste, and you can be skiing seconds after leaving the chalet in the morning. But it is also less than a minute’s walk down to the village and main lifts at the La Croisette base area.
From the balcony there are lovely views of the village, its lights sparkling as evening descends on the Three Valleys, as well as of the surrounding slopes.
Its size makes Chalet Chamois ideal and very comfortable for a family, with a double room, a twin and a single room. The bedrooms have a luxurious feel, with feather pillows and duvets and slippers and fluffy bathrobes for every guest, as well as Aromatherapy Associates products.
The warm and relaxing atmosphere is enhanced by the open plan living and kitchen area, and you’ll be tempted to spend evenings lazing and chatting by the open log fire – perhaps with a glass of port.
But for those with young children, our chalet staff will be delighted to book a nanny for the evening so parents can enjoy a night out down in the village – which has as wide a choice of great bars and clubs as any resort in the Alps. We can also organise for the young ones to have an early supper.
Or guests can just stay at their fabulous mountain hideaway and be pampered even more – what could be better than an in-chalet massage, easily booked by the staff.
