What to expect on a Supertravel Ski chalet holiday
Finest food
We have a passion for food and believe that it is the corner stone of a fabulous chalet holiday. We employ people that share this passion and have the ability to ensure your culinary experience is a highlight of your holiday. We do not give your host a set menu to cook week in week out, they are there to listen to you and prepare the food that you want for your holiday. They are flexible enough to cater for the most testing dietary requirements and if you want a delectable 4 course dinner, a local speciality or good old traditional comfort food they are happy to oblige.
We select our suppliers for their freshest, seasonal and local produce. We are firm believers that fine food starts with the finest ingredients. So you can look forward to sampling such treats as Beaufort Cheese made from the milk of cows that roam the Courchevel hillsides in the summer, or the delicious locally cured Venison sausages from the Arlberg. The owner of Chalet Rosanna even supplies hand made yoghurt to our chalets in St Anton from her farm further down the valley.
Breakfast is always described as the most important meal of the day and on a ski holiday this is particularly true. Our indulgent breakfast gives you everything you could want to start the day from healthy fresh fruit and porridge to a filling full English breakfast. Your holiday, your choice.
A typical breakfast menu
A long standing tradition in chalets is afternoon tea, but things have changed considerably since the stodgy ‘yoghurt’ cakes of days gone by. Each day of your holiday a different home made cake, biscuits or pastries will be waiting for you along with tea, coffee, herbal infusions and hot chocolate. Fresh bread and jam are also offered for those with a large appetite and if you don’t have a sweet tooth, your chalet host will be more than happy to prepare savoury scones or a quiche instead.
Some of our favourite cake recipes
“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated
to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”
Henry James, The Portrait of a Lady
After a fantastic day on the mountain or a day relaxing in the comfort of your chalet, dinner is always something to look forward to. Our hosts will prepare a delicious four course dinner for you starting with canapés and pre dinner drinks served by the fire, culminating with an array of fine local cheese and port.

Wine selection 2009/2010
Our wine has been carefully chosen from a vast selection by our professional sommelier. We always endeavour to offer a broad choice to suit all tastes and this is reflected in your favourable comments year on year. We train our staff to match the wine to the food they are serving to enhance your dining experience.
We can also offer you an exclusive list of Vintage Wine available in resort for a reasonable price.
Sparkling Wine
Joseph Perrier Champangne
A delicious bubbly made from the traditional blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Aged for at least nine months on the 'lees' to give it the typical brioche character.
Ideal as an aperitif.
Port
Tawny Porto Dobson 19%
Tawny Port is wood aged giving rise to its distictive orange/amber colour.
This is sweet and fortified with aromas of Christmas cake and spices.
Red
Domaine Sarnelly Merlot 2005
A Languedoc wine that is without doubt 'Made in France', but with a clear nod towards modern New World styles: a velvety texture, chocolaty flavours and just a tiny hint of oak.
Chateau Cotes de Saint Clair AOC Puisseguin Saint Emilion 2005
From the legendary 2005 vintage, now benefiting from a couple of years' ageing in bottle, a rich Merlot-dominant blend (with Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc), generous body and structure.
Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune rouge 2007 "Le Mont Battois"
It's not easy to find decent Burgundy Pinot Noir that doesn't require a second mortgage, but this is a lovely example, with silky elegant red fruit characteristics from the famous Hautes Cotes de Beaune appellation.
White
Chardonnay la Vinsobraise 2008/09
A light style of unoaked Chardonnay from one of the cooler parts of the Rhone Valley - elegant, fresh, with just a touch of the grape's traditional 'creaminess'.
Domaine Guenault AOC Sauvignon de Touraine 2008
A bright and crisp Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley's famous Touraine region with depth, elegance and a full flavoured, grassy, lemony freshness. The grapes for this vibrant wine are drawn from some of the best Touraine vineyards situated on the hallowed tufa soils contributing to its mineral character. Can quite rightly be described as a 'baby Sancerre'.
Janny AOC St Veran Merloix 2007
From the St Veran appellation in southern Burgundy, this is a very different style of Chardonnay from the first wine. It is full bodied and rich, with a lingering and lasting finish. The nose oozes with honey and butterscotch aromas, the palate has hints of bananas and passion fruit.
